The name Igneous comes from the Latin word for “born of fire.” In nature, igneous rock is formed when molten material cools and solidifies — a process of transformation, strength, and creation.
My creations are inspired by that same energy: fluid metal shaped by heat and cooled into something enduring. Each one a symbol of endurance and beauty, forged by nature, with flowy organic forms through to rough and weathered textures.
The name celebrates transformation, grounding, and the connection between art and the earth.
Sterling Silver and Gold are durable metals, however, all pieces are still handmade art, and like anything, they can be scratched or broken if not handled with care.
Sterling silver can tarnish when exposed to salty water, chlorine, sulfur, perspiration, cosmetics, household bleach and other strong chemicals.
Since all my jewellery is 100% precious metal, it will never turn green, brassy, or stain your skin.
To care of your makes, clean them regularly with a gentle toothbrush in warm soapy water or using the polishing cloth that will come with your item.
If taken care of properly your Jewellery can last a lifetime.
I recommend that you store your fine jewellery in a safe, dry place like a jewellery box or bag when cleaning, using lotions, hair products, fragrances, and other cosmetics. Likewise when you go swimming in a chlorinated pool or the sea and when taking exercise as all these things can cause the metal to oxidise.
No. All of my jewellery is made with solid precious metals to enhance their longevity, beauty and comfort to the wearer. If you would like any of my silver jewellery to be plated in gold then please get in touch and I can arrange this for you.
If you aren't 100% happy with your new jewellery please do contact within 14 days of purchase and I would love to find a solution for you. Please include any relevant information in the description. Please note that purchases from Igneous Jewellery are final but in limited circumstances I may offer exchanges. The item must be returned in original condition and packaging with no signs of wear and the buyer is responsible for returns shipping.
This is my policy because once this item is sent to you, for health and sanitation reasons, we can not resell the piece. So please take the time you need to choose something that you think will work best for you.
Bespoke made items are non-returnable but please get in contact and we can discuss alterations at the buyers cost where possible.
Unfortunately due to the nature of handmade items and everyday wear it is possible that at some point there may be damage to your jewellery that needs attention.
I do not accept items from other jewellers to repair as I can never really know the properties of the stones/metals I'm working with.
However I do accept and would be eager to mend any of my own jewellery that has met an unfortunate end and get you reunited with your special item.
Payment for any repairs or replacements is at Igneous Jewellery's discretion.
